allison havey the rap projectAllison Havey is the Co-Founder of The RAP Project, or Raising Awareness and Prevention Project, which promotes awareness for teenagers negotiating social media and its influence on attitudes and expectations. We openly discuss mutual respect, mutual consent and try to marry hard facts with humor and experience. Since 2012, the RAP Project has reached over 40,000 students and is now in over 150 schools throughout the UK.

She grew up in New York City and attended Sarah Lawrence College where she studied Russian, French and History. From an early age, she wanted to work as an international journalist, so lived in Paris, Moscow and London where she worked for NBC News, Associated Press Television News and ABC News. She is also a print journalist who has published for ABCNews.Com and other publications. She has produced documentaries on Alan Bates, The Redgraves, Lech Walesa and others for The Biography Channel, as well as interviewed high profile guests for Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions and other broadcasters.

The RAP Project has been profiled by The Times, You Magazine and The New Statesman as well as featured on Radio 5, World Service and other media.
