Welcome to this month’s RAP Chat, The RAP Project’s newsletter. Deana and Allison have enjoyed a very busy 2016, kicking off with a valuable seminar organised by the Public Policy Exchange entitled Tackling Rape, Sexual Assault and Harassment at Universities and Colleges in January. The RAP Project then went international, when Deana addressed Year 10 students at Somersfield Academy in Bermuda. Allison was left behind in rainy London holding down the fort. Later that week, RAP found inspiration when listening to the experiences of many young people who are changing the world with their scientific, sociological and musical experiences and projects at a TEDxTeen day at the O2. One of our proudest achievements this year is having addressed 30 secondary school counsellors with Place2Be, a national charity providing emotional support to students throughout the UK. The afternoon was extremely informative and rewarding, and RAP was thrilled with the positive feedback.
